Job Description
F-15 USAF Trainers, a team in Boeing Global Services’ Training and Professional Services’ Training Systems organization, is currently seeking a Project Engineer. The successful candidate will be concerned with the real-world operation and maintenance of F-15 aircraft as well as with the sophisticated set of devices needed to control complex training systems and monitor student performance in highly realistic simulators and environments.  In this position the candidate will work with the F-15 USAF Trainers customer, product leadership, and chief engineer to identify emerging requirements, assist with translating these requirements into Statements of Work and Specifications for proposals, assist engineering teams establish Earned Value Measurement (EVM) baselines for contracted work, communicate and interpret technical requirements for impacted engineering teams, lead integrated engineering team execution, communicate execution status to F-15 USAF Trainers leadership and the customer, and assess the impact of proposed technical and schedule changes.   Due to the technical complexity of these trainer systems, a degree in the physical sciences, engineering, computer science, or mathematics is required. Practical experience developing specifications, statements of work, and proposal estimates is required. Experience leading multi-disciplined technical teams is required. Experience with trainers and training systems is a differentiator. Knowledge of aircraft and aircraft systems is highly desired, but not required. Experience with EVM is also required.   This position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as the ability to work collaboratively to reach decisions that are mutually acceptable to multiple engineering teams. Past experience working directly with customers to develop requirements and to communicate execution performance is required.   A current U.S. DoD Secret clearance is mandatory with preference given to those who have completed a background investigation within the last five years.   Boeing is the world's largest aerospace company and leading manufacturer of commercial airplanes and defense, space and security systems. Qualifications

Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 9 or more years' experience, Master's with 7 or more years' experience or PhD with 4 or more years' experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
