The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business unit is seeking a System Engineer to support the F-15 program based in St. Louis, Missouri: one of our largest, most dynamic sites with a broad business portfolio. The F-15 Program is executing on new development work for multiple foreign customers as well as for the United States Air Force. The Boeing F-15 Systems Engineering Integration Team (SEIT) is seeking a highly motivated senior System Engineer to support all aspects of program development with a critical near-term focus on airworthiness analysis and determination. The roles and responsibilities of the F-15 Program System Engineer are as follows: - Participate in systems engineering activities on the F-15 program. These activities include risk, issue, and opportunity management, technical performance measurement, and program planning. - Ensure compliant product is delivered to support contractual commitments - Coordinate with multi-discipline engineering teams to document inter-system interfaces and ensure their validity and correctness. - Communicate the platform model to the program and assisting in its use in proposal efforts, design decisions and during program execution. - Develop and documents moderately complex electronic and electrical system requirements. Designs hardware, software and interface specifications. - Test and validates to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements. - Occasionally serve as technical interface with customer engineering staff - Assist in monitoring supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements. - Solve problems concerning fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle. - Research specific technology advances for potential application to company business needs. Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 9 or more years' experience, Master's with 7 or more years' experience or PhD with 4 or more years' experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. Candidates should have a strong background in system engineering and integration. The successful candidate will be a proven verbal and written communicator who works well with multi-disciplined teams. Supports the definition, analysis, and verification of product baselines. Manages product changes. Documents and implements engineering technical program plans of large scope and complexity. Gathers data to assist in the analysis of product trades/changes for change proposals. Utilizes Systems Engineering tools. Must have an active (or are you able to obtain) a U.S. Security Clearance, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
