Full Job Description
Some Typical Duties & Responsibilities Include:
• Develop process modeling or computer simulations
• Develop new applications or maintain/ /enhance existing applications
• Provide custom interfaces with laboratory instrumentation and configuring Laboratory Information Systems (LIMS)
• Provide application/control system design and development for Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Distributed Control Systems (DCS) to interface with process instrumentation
• Work with ORACLE or SQL databases
• Provide Cyber Security for Industrial Control Systems
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
• Scope technical tasks and develop creative solutions to assigned problems within Federal nuclear and non-nuclear facilities.
• Begin using SRNS systems and meeting SRNS requirements with minimal supervisory guidance.
• Accepts complex tasks and receives minimal guidance from senior professionals.

Required Qualifications

P3: • Bachelor's degree in an engineering or relevant field plus at least five years of experience (YOE) in a relevant role, OR Master's degree in relevant field plus at least two years of experience (YOE), OR Doctoral degree in relevant field
• Equivalencies to experience and education requirements will be considered

P4: • Bachelor's degree in an engineering or relevant field plus at least ten years of experience (YOE), OR Master's degree in relevant field plus at least eight years of experience (YOE), OR Doctoral degree in relevant field plus at least five years of experience (YOE)
• Equivalencies to experience and education requirements will be considered

P5: • Bachelor's degree in an engineering or relevant field plus at least fifteen years of experience (YOE), OR Master's degree in relevant field plus at least twelve years of experience (YOE), OR Doctoral degree in relevant field plus at least eight years of experience (YOE)

Security Clearance Information

SRNS is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug & alcohol test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, criminal records, and employment history, and education verifications.
