Role and Responsibilities

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Establish proactive storytelling communications systems and processes for the Samsung Experience Stores that support the business goals, and reach key internal and external audiences
  • Develop and deliver an integrated and strategic communications plan to help realize SES vision and business strategy.
  • Initiates programs that promote awareness of SES strategy, goals and achievements
  • Support SES leadership heads to develop and deliver weekly, monthly, quarterly annual strategy plans
  • Supportstrategic planning formulation and evaluation through:
    • Industry macro trends analysis
    • Competitive benchmarking for best in class recommendations
    • Identification and optimization to enhance customer experience journeys
    • Alignment of Brand and Corporate initiatives
    • Strategic performance management
  • Support development of recommendations on strategic value propositions and the tactical decisions, processes, organization and metrics that need to be put in place to enable the strategy
  • Develop strong partnership with other corporate divisions and retail functions to ensure holistic strategy and communication plans that aligns with company-wide standards

Background & Competencies Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university. MBA preferred
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in a strategy, marketing, design, development, project management
  • Minimum 5 years of project management experience working in a lead capacity implementing projects in a field environment
  • Minimum 3-5 years Retail Experience
  • Ability to Travel up to 50% (Domestic and International)

  • The ability to work either independently or in a team environment to achieve personal and team project goals, including the completion of assignments within and exceeding established timeframes.

    Physical/Mental Demands

    Work is generally performed in an office environment. Operate a computer keyboard and view a video display terminal between 50% - 95% of work time, including prolonged periods of time. Requires considerable (90%+) work utilizing high visual acuity/detail, numeric/character distinction, and moderate hand/finger dexterity. The movement and transportation of equipment, most of the time is under 25 pounds. Performs work under time schedules and stress which are normally periodic or cyclical, including time sensitive deadlines, intellectual challenge, some language barriers and project management deadlines. Machines, tools, equipment and work aids include PCs, printers, copiers, faxes, and other equipment commonly associated with an office work area. May require working additional hours beyond normal schedule. Role requires domestic and international travel 25%-30%. Consistently demonstrates a commitment to policies and procedures, including but not limited to, attendance, confidentiality, conflict of interest and ethical responsibilities.
