Candidate is accountable for providing the Bank with sound, quality loan income, and has direct responsibility for Commercial, Real Estate, Professional and Executive lending activities, and is responsible for profitability, compliance to banking laws and regulations, and adherence to the Bank's policies and procedures. The incumbent will directly supervise and critique, guide and mentor other commercial lenders and ensure deviation from standard policies and procedures are approved. Incumbent is responsible for growing personal commercial loan portfolio as well as the bank’s entire commercial portfolio through directing participation in business development efforts through interactions with potential customers and maintaining favorable banking relationships with existing customers. He/she often represents the Bank at many community functions and must be able to effectively function with a variety of people in any situation. Must exercise good interpersonal and communication skills.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Eight years of experience in credit and commercial lending activities is required. Credit analysis, accounting principles, banking laws/regulations and operations, management principles, marketing techniques, communication skills and economics acquired by a college degree and management training programs. Incumbent must have prudent judgment in decisions involving lending activities and in handling of customers, subordinate officers and employees. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Review loans and lending procedures to ensure the maximum overall profitability of the Bank’s commercial lending activities. Manage the Bank's Commercial Loan portfolio and constantly develop new business and enhance the existing business. Direct and motivate officers and employees involved in commercial lending activities. The incumbent must live in the region and is expected to be involved in community activities. Must actively participate in Customer Service First sales and service culture, support the values of the organization and follow established company policies and procedures.
