Executive Senior Project Manager

President/CEO's Office

Summary:
Leads and manages high-priority projects from initiation to completion within established budget and timeline constraints. Develops project plans, schedules, and budgets, and oversees project execution to ensure deliverables are met according to stakeholder expectations. Communicates project status, risks, and issues to key stakeholders and sponsors, and leads project team members to achieve project objectives. Manages project resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, and ensures compliance with project management best practices and organizational policies. Conducts post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement.

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Develop project plans, identify resource and budgetary needs.
  • Hold project meetings with the team and managers.
  • Offer feedback, guidance, and project updates to team members.
  • Evaluate deviations from the project plan, collect metrics, and make changes to maintain the project within scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Serve as a point of contact for ongoing projects, handling administrative tasks, to ensure project runs smoothly.
  • Utilize various project management techniques to manage the President & CEO department projects for successful outcome. This may include ordering equipment and supplies, managing deadlines and workflow, and scheduling meetings.
  • Prepare reports, exhibits, and presentations and performs necessary tasks for project related issues. Assist with data collection and submission of periodic audits to collect and submit all required documents appropriately.
  • Oversee the planning and start-up of projects at different stages of completion.
  • Communicate with management and other pertinent parties to guarantee project awareness and timeliness.
  • Verify the allocation and availability of resources.
  • Reviews and approves administrative requests as designated by the SVP.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education, Experience and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Communications, Project Management, or related field and a minimum of six (6) years of experience in project management.
  • Prior experience working for an NJ public entity desired.
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to run effective project meetings.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work across every level of staff and help on different projects around the office.
  • Advanced use of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Access
