Executive Producer, United States of Anxiety
New York Public Radio seeks an Executive Producer for The United States of Anxiety, a weekly live radio show and podcast that mixes narrative journalism and conversation.
The Executive Producer will partner with the Managing Editor/Host to produce the show, focusing on operations, strategies for audience growth and diversity, and overall excellence. The Executive Producer will also work closely with the team to craft ideas-driven audio journalism on a weekly basis and to maximize that work’s impact and reach. The EP will regularly collaborate across the broader organization in an effort to deliver on our strategic priorities to further grow and diversify the show’s audience.
The EP partners with the host to drive the strategic vision for the show. We are looking for someone who is passionate about this work and wants to push the show to new heights. The successful candidate will be open to creative thinking and they find the idea of making something new every day incredibly exciting. They will be a dynamic and accomplished individual with superior communication skills and the ability to work effectively and collaboratively with people at all levels to produce outstanding results.
This role reports to the Vice President of Original Content at WNYC.

This is a full-time role that includes benefits. New York Public Radio offers competitive compensation with excellent medical, dental, and vision insurance, and time off benefits including vacation, personal, sick time and parental leave.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic this role is currently operating in a remote capacity. However, this position is not a permanent remote position and is part of the New York City staff, and may be expected to work fully from the New York office when it is safe to do so.
