Medical Affairs at TG Therapeutics is the scientific bridge between R&D and Commercial with the purpose of educating and advancing the science with KOLs/HCPs, providing timely accurate medical information to the scientific community, and facilitating patient access through the engagement of clinical access influencers.
The DAH for Immunology, in collaboration with marketing and market access, will be responsible for developing the medical plan and launch strategy for the launch of ublituximab in Relapsing Multiple Sclerosis (RMS). The DAH will work closely with Field Medical, Medical Operations, and Scientific Affairs to ensure the maximation of the clinical and scientific profile of ublituximab and other TG pipeline assets for immunological indications.
Reporting directly to the VP, Head of Medical Affairs, this is a critical leadership position for the company and will be a key member of the senior medical affairs leadership team. The role provides the unique career opportunity to set the direction, shape the culture and build a new capability from the ground up in a new therapeutic area for TG Therapeutics Commercialization.
Within the Disease Area of Immunology:
––Create the medical launch plan for ublituximab in RMS collaborating closely with all cross-functional partners to ensure there is comprehensive list of pre- and post-launch activities all exquisitely executed ultimately leading to a successful launch
––Directly interface with Key Opinion Leaders and be viewed as a disease expert by the medical community
––Lead the development of the scientific platform for Immunology to ensure consistent medical/scientific communications across all functions at TG
––Work closely with International and National KOLs on the content for congress presentations of TG Data
––Develop the scientific communications associated with key medical congresses including booth content
––Create and execute medical advisory boards with KOLs/Community HCPs
––Provide strategic input into the scientific content for congresses
––Guide the development of the field medical training plan and assist in the training of the field medical team
––Provide medical strategic input into the creation of medical communication topics and key insight topics for the purpose of proactive and reactive scientific exchange by the field medical team
––Create the medical strategy plan for patient advocacy and interact directly with patient advocacy organizations
––Lead the development of a comprehensive Continuing Medical Education strategy
––Identify unmet clinical needs and lead the development of a non-registrational data generation plan working closely with R&D and clinical operations
––Lead the efforts and provide strategic input for the development of all proactive and reactive medical resources
––Provide medical strategy input into the Global Publications Plan and assist in the optimization of publications by identifying secondary analyses
––Provide medical expertise as a content expert in the review of publications, congress abstracts/presentations, marketing materials, MI letters, SRDs, and FM FAQs
––Assist the field medical lead in attracting and hiring highly talented experienced medical science liaisons
––Support the medical information function in the creation of standard response documents and training of the MI Call Center
––Provide medical strategic input into the development of the AMCP dossier and the HEOR/RWE data generation plan
––In collaboration with medical operations, explore the potential of a patient registry and expanded access program (and support the execution if necessary)
––Ensure the “voice of patients and the opinions of providers” are represented in the development of the marketing and market access plans
––7+ years in the pharmaceutical industry with experience in leading US Drug Launch activities in medical affairs in Multiple Sclerosis
––Diligent, hard-working, passionate, and energetic willing to work in a small company (biotech) environment while competing with larger more resourced companies
––Flexible and agile with the ability to create a strategy vision while also possessing the willingness to take on all tactics
––Demonstrated ability to establish highly credible scientific relationships with Key Opinion Leaders in neurology
––Ability to understand and effectively communicate scientific and medical information to both internal and external stakeholders. Excellent written and oral communication skills are an imperative.
––Demonstrated organizational cross-functional leadership including the ability to solve problems effectively in a highly collaborative cross-functional environment
––Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
An advanced scientific degree is required (M.D., Pharm.D., or Ph.D.) – M.D. Preferred
