Job Description

Primary job duties to include:

  • Mgmt./Ownership of all Cybersecurity Tools
  • Deliver a roadmap to address cybersecurityrisk by:
    • rationalizing, prioritizing, and documenting all existing cyber tools within the BNY Mellon enterprise
    • Improving utilization of existing cyber technologies to maximize risk reduction
    • Eliminating duplicative tool sets or solutions
    • Identifying shifts in IT security priorities
  • Work with cyber operations and engineering teams to identify cyber control gaps
  • Design / deploy cyber technologies to close any identified gaps
  • Fully maintain all cyber technologies
  • Make any required adjustments over time based upon feedback from cyber operations and engineering teams
  • Collaboratively engage people from all functions and levels of the organization in discussion of information technology, and risk management needs, relevant security controls capabilities, and governance processes to assure desired outcomes

  Sr.Group Manager, Information Security->> Responsible for building and managing a team ofcyber technology professionals who will design and delivercyber technologies across BNY Mellon to satisfy the requirements of thecyber operations and engineering teams.  Specificallyresponsible for delivery of technical solutions spanning Vulnerability Management, Security Operations Center, Cyber Analytics, Data Loss Prevention, Privileged Access, Cyber Incident Response, and Network Monitoring.  Team will beresponsible for fully understanding the requirements of eachcyber team, rationalizing all existingcyber tools within the environment and making technology / vendor selections based upon identified capability gaps.  Responsibility will include the full design, implementation and maintenance of allcyber technologies deployed across BNY Mellon and our subsidiary businesses. Ideal candidate will demonstrate advanced ability to conduct cost-benefit analysis to justifyinvestment in additionalcyber tools or making changes to existing tools to mitigaterisks and closecyber capability gaps. Strong working knowledge ofcyber technologies spanning the disciplines outlined above, ability to maintain currency of technical skills in a rapidly changing environment.  Presents advanced analyses to senior management with recommendations aligning customer/business needs and capabilities. Evaluates new and emerging products and technologies, recommending which technologies to implement, develops functional specifications and documentation. Monitorsbudgets andschedules for projects conducted by teams and ensures they are completed in a timely manner. Recruits, directs, motivates and develops staff, maximizing their individual contribution, their professional growth and their ability to function effectively with their colleagues as a team. Manages multiple informationsecurityteams. Contributes to the achievement of multiple teams' objectives.   #LI-PH1

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experiencerequired, advanced degreepreferred.
  • 15+ years of experience in information security or related technology experiencerequired, experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
  • Advanced proficiency in Splunk (experience with Design, Implementation + Maintenance)
  • Advanced proficiency in Qualys (experience with Design, Implementation + Maintenance)
  • Advanced proficiency with other cyber technologies, including Tripwire, Symantec Endpoint Protection, Sailpoint and NESSUS.
  • Advanced proficiency in Big data, micro services and cloud based platforms and technologies (experience with Design, Implementation + Maintenance)
