The Executive Director of Strategic Development-BH is responsible for recognizing and driving opportunities for strategic development and growth to include coordinating and leading a multitude of integration activities between behavioral health and physical healthcare, both within MultiCare Health System and throughout coverage areas. The incumbent is accountable for the successful delivery of large scale, highly complex and long range systems which encompasses the Behavioral Health (BH) network continuum including multiple organizations and their outpatient counseling and inpatient nursing services and programs development to enable well-informed practice decision-making in all aspects of the BH continuum. The Executive Director provides strategic direction to achieve key operational objectives through the analysis and implementation of patient care services using evidence based practices to drive development decisions within and/or meeting approved budget, schedule, and quality standards. The Executive Director coordinates with senior-level sponsors, stakeholders, and effectively works in partnership with community and system partners to successfully develop, grow, implement and maintain clinical care standards and associated policies and procedures.
This position requires significant travel within and outside Washington State.
Eight (8) years of clinical program development, holding an administrative or management position in both an acute care hospital operation and an ambulatory clinic operation, or other appropriate health-related organization or program
Two (2) years of project management experience; preferably working/leading projects or teams entrusted with a highly visible complex projects
Five (5) years of progressive experience in both a managerial and supervisory capacity

Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Nursing, Mental Health field, Healthcare Administration or comparable degreerequired
