Job Summary:

Oversees development of analytics frameworks, scenario planning, modeling and portfolio management for the Florida Hospital Central Division – 17 campuses. Determines and articulates implications on Florida Hospital business model for Vice President/ CEO leaders to inform strategy development and long-term planning. Oversees leadership team in the development of scenarios, models and frameworks to facilitate planning process within Florida Hospital. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.



Knowledge, Skills, Education, & Experience Required:

  • Exceptional ability to build relationships both inside and outside the organization, to include working with leaders across the organization as well as external partners
  • Ability to manage a large department budget up to $3Million
  • Ability to articulate complex information in understandable terms
  • Provides leadership that motivates and impassions a dedicated team
  • Ability to work in a matrix-management environment to achieve organizational goals
  • Expert interpretive business skills- utilizes research and analytics to develop valuable insights and strategic opportunities to drive actionable results
  • Strong systems thinker; to understand how different areas of the organization and external trends (market, industry & business) relate to one another
  • Ability to identify and proactively act on critical trends that could positively impact patients, Florida Hospital, employees and revenue
  • Implement a systematic process of continuous improvement to monitor the revenue pipeline and determine risk factors and suggest course corrections quickly to support desired growth goals;
  • Works collaboratively with Marketing to implement marketing initiatives that align against the overarching revenue goals of the business
  • Navigates an interconnected system well; employs effective collaboration with stakeholders
  • Cultivate, hire, and lead a Scenario Planning Team.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft suites and other applicable databases. (Preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Health Services Administration
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration or Health Services Administration (Preferred)
  • Minimum of six (6) years in industry experience
  • Minimum of four (4) years in leadership experience
  • Ten (10) plus years of experience (Preferred)

  • SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY:
  • Oversees development of analytics frameworks, scenario planning, modeling and portfolio management for the Florida Hospital Central Division – 17 campuses.
  • Leads a team of 6-8 individuals.
  • COMPLIANCE/REGULATORY RESPONSIBILITY:
  • Operates within data security regulatory guidelines and industry standards.
  • OPERATING & CAPITAL BUDGET/FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY:
  • Manages a budget up to $3 million.
  • Provides actionable, decision grade data that will enable the organization to develop and deploy plans anticipated to generate significant revenue and/or cost savings upwards of hundreds of thousands based on industry comparisons.
  • STRATEGIC PLANNING RESPONSIBILITY:
  • Serves as subject matter expert in scenario planning, portfolio management and forecasting from a data and process perspective.
  • Performs complex forecasting to obtain decision grade data for use within FH’s Strategic Planning process and long term planning.
  • Designs information visualization and communication vehicles to express outputs from models, frameworks and scenarios, which address unanswered business issues/ opportunities in a provocative manner.
  • Develops analytical frameworks, simulations, approach, and methodology best practices for analyzing complex strategic issues and opportunities.
  • Designs scenario planning process and collaborates with leadership to align on alternative future scenarios, optimal business portfolios, required trade-offs, and tracking methodologies.
  • Performs assessment of the organization’s portfolio by using business and competitive intelligence; interprets and reports portfolio rationalization at a decision grade level.
  • Applies broad knowledge of analytic principles, researches best practices and methodologies to analyze complex business issues while applying ingenuity and originality to develop unique solutions.
  • PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENT RESPONSIBILITY:
  • Provides actionable, decision grade data that will enable the organization to develop and deploy plans anticipated to generate significant revenue and/or cost savings upwards of hundreds of thousands based on industry comparisons.
  • Audits, tracks, and controls revenue generation activities.
  • Implements a systematic process of continuous improvement to monitor the revenue pipeline and determine risk factors to support desired growth goals.
  • Works collaboratively with Marketing to implement marketing initiatives that align against the overarching revenue goals of the business.
  • This position will also be very influential in informing strategic plans that will drive the acquisition of market share/ share of healthcare spend.
  • STAFFING/LABOR/SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
  • Hire, lead and motivate a team of 6-8 individuals.
