In this newly created position you will have overall responsibility for all technical staff, deliverables, and quality of work associated to Policy Administration System (PAS) production support. You will be responsible for interfacing with outside vendors and internal teams who also support the PAS project and will work closely with the Business to monitor and manage execution, delivery, on-going support and maintenance. You will also be responsible for managing to SLA’s.

 

The responsibilities include but not limited to the following:

 

  • Lead/Motivate PAS Prod support team while managing business level expectations
  • Support and execute PAS post production activities
  • Maintain small enhancements and break fixes to manageable levels for PAS related internal applications
  • Introduce production lifecycle support related to PASinternal applications
    • Maintain one service request priority list
    • Strengthen application testing
    • Minimize human errors and improve code quality
    • Solidify deployment process
  • PAS production support resource planning
  • Future delivery of PAS related portfolio projects approved by VBS steering committee
  • Work with project leadership team to develop and track metrics on PAS related projects
  • Build strong relationship with business partners by delivering quality projects
  • Support Enterprise IT initiatives
  • Be a change agent and support change management activity

 

Key Accountabilities:

 

  • Delivery of all PAS related production support activities while supporting strategic approved portfolio projects
  • Introduce and enforce developers to follow  processes and standards( Code Reviews, deployment processes, architectural guidelines such as error handling)
  • Lead/Motivate team in the ever changing IT landscape
  • Work with project leadership team to develop and track metrics
  • Build strong relationships with business partners

 

Minimum Requirements:

 

  • Must have experience in managing technical aspects of large modernization and transformation projects
  • Bachelor’s Degreerequired
  • 10+ years in managing a cross-functional team of size no less than 15 people required
  • 5+ years of experience in managing multiple vendors located at multiple locations required
  • Must have experience in managing multiple priorities and sub-projects within a program
  • 5+ years of experience in Insurance highly preferred
  • Experience in data migration from legacy systems to new solution
  • Technically proficient in a wide range of architectures, middleware applications, operational frameworks, process improvement models and best practices
  • Experience in IT strategy and planning
  • Participate in the development of and changes to the project
  • Effectively recruit and on-board technical project staff
  • Identify training needs and provide training opportunities as appropriate
  • Work with the Project Architect and ensure that the architecture, design principles, and standards are in alignment with Enterprise Architecture directions
  • Ensure that design, development, technical validations, and approvals occur
  • Own technical project issues and roadblocks and make certain they are resolved in an effective and efficient manner
  • Identify and manage technical risks on the project
  • Collaborate with technical and business staff to determine best practice system solutions
  • Support project’s organizational change management and communications efforts
  • Develop and leverage appropriate technical, functional, or business knowledge to support the successful development of client partner / user solutions.
  • Possess a solid understanding of Thriving in Change as demonstrated by ability to openly support and embrace change
