Bumble and bumble is a fast-growing, luxury hair care brand located in NYC. It started as an NYC salon and evolved into a multi-million dollar brand comprised of 2 salons, a product company that houses a strong in-house creative agency, a direct sales force, and a university for hairdressers and salon owners.

To this day we are committed to cultivating creativity while remaining deeply and passionately dedicated to the craft, culture and commerce of hairdressing.

Position Summary: In partnership with VP, develops, manages and implements all product marketing, objectives and strategies for Bumble in coordination with internal and external departments, to further develop the brand’s performance in sales, profitability, image and competitive position in local and overseas markets.

Works in close partnership with Consumer Engagement and RetailMarketing peers to ensure continuity/consistency of the marketing strategies in those channels. Manages departmental budget and P&L.

Manages and coaches team of 4 people.


  • Lead the management, development and implementation of Bb.’s product marketing strategy including: product architecture, 3-year innovation pipeline and launch process. Enrich and extend Bb.’s unique story by developing innovative concepts, products and services. Drive brand growth by developing and delivering product offerings that excite and activate new consumers and deepen relationships with existing customers.

  • Assume fiscal responsibility through carefully planned and monitored budgetary guidelines and practices

  • Spearhead brainstorming and development of all approved initiatives through strong partnerships and tight communication with support and partner groups (such as Creative, Product Development, Global Communications, Operations, Education, and Sales) to ensure timely launches of marketing initiatives within budget and COGS.

  • Ensure that market intelligence/competitive information is received and analyzed so that market opportunities may be seized and acted upon.

  • Direct and analyze sell-through trends, category shifts, COG changes, etc. and recommend shifts in programs as needed. Present in-depth details to management.

  • Manage active portfolio and number of SKU seeking efficiencies and opportunities

  • Provide leadership and guidance to team under responsibility, with strong emphasis in team building, coaching and developing both direct reports and more junior members of the team.



  • 10 years of experience in marketing--- beauty or fashion marketing preferred.

  • Hair care (professional or mass) experience is a strong plus. Selective/prestige market experiences a plus.

  • The job requires an individual with an understanding of and a passion for fashion and hair care and with a strong sense of style and the ability to catch the pulse of global trends.

  • Demonstrated success in leading large/scale global product launches and base salescampaigns. Track record of successful brand building in two or more categories.

  • Track record of growing revenues using innovative consumer marketing channels and techniques

  • Demonstrated success in building strong product marketing teams and managing processes and projects through collaborative business relationships

  • Experience leading the development of new marketing programs, and capabilities. Experience managing P&Ls

  • Bachelor’s degree. MBA or relevant Master’s degreepreferred
