This position is for an Executive Director of Industrial Power in the Industrial and Healthcare Business Unit. Maxim's Executive Directors operate their business like a "company inside a company”. They have full leadership and organizational responsibility for growing revenue, managing profit and loss, and developing business strategy, technology roadmaps and innovative products.
As the Executive Director, your responsibilities include:
Lead and develop a high-performance team of business managers, applications engineers, system engineers, product definers and subject matter experts.
Lead the discovery phase of new product development- Research new technology, market trends, and customer needs, analyze the competition, drive product-development strategies and roadmaps, guide product definition, conduct preliminary business case analysis and prioritize projects that have the strongest business case and strategic value.
Guide the product development through the new product development phase, drive silicon verification and validation, track the development of your new products and resolve problems to keep them on schedule
Lead the market introduction phase of new product development and drive development of software device drivers, EV Kits, reference designs, application notes and marketing collateral. Train Maxim FAEs and sales and work with field personnel to develop and execute account penetration strategies.
Define and implement initiatives and grow revenue from existing products, while diversifying the customer base across multiple applications and multiple regions.
Present at Executive Business Reviews and employee communication meetings.
Mentor and nurture talent and guide succession planning.
Influences decision making beyond the Business Unit. Exercises wide latitude in determining objectives and approaches to critical programs. Owns all operational aspects of P&Ls (forecast, inventory, cost reduction, etc.). Owns distribution strategies.
Deep knowledge of Maxim's business structure and markets. Has a pulse on the competitive landscape and has expertise in technology trends. Is a proven expert in the Business field.
Prior experience growing a broad market semiconductor business using direct, indirect channels.
Enjoy a minimum 12+ years of experience in the semiconductor industry covering both engineering execution and business development experience
Possess a knack for building business relationships with top-level executives at industry leaders.
Demonstrate strong business acumen in Semiconductors, articulate a vision and strategy
Set and implement winning strategies
Communicate effectively with Executive level presentation skills
Master a strong Technical foundation
Willing to travel
MSEE or equivalent is preferred
Ability to inspire, nurture and grow teams
Initiative taker who seeks to close actions with a high level of commitment, ownership and with a strong sense of urgency
Passion for business relationship development
Concise communicator, good listener
Willing to work in a fast paced environment.
