THE OPPORTUNITY:

We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Estimator to join our team of professionals. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 – 7 years’ experience in estimating high end residential Millwork and Furniture in specialty products and finishes. In addition to previous experience, the candidate needs to be extremely well organized, have the ability to work well with a variety of personalities, be motivated, detail-oriented, and a team player – but have the strength and ability to work autonomously. The Estimator is responsible for compiling estimates on cost to provide to a client or potential client. The position involves assessing the material, labor and equipment required and incorporating different quotes from sub-contractors and vendors. The purpose of this position is to produce budgets and maintain relevant documents in all aspects of each specific project bid. This role will require individual initiative and the ability to work with and support a team to get the job done.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Read and review architectural drawings and contracts to become familiar with terms & conditions.
• Review all bid packages and compile in a timely manner, any specialty scopes.
• Complete sub evaluations/comparisons of bids, scope review, and complete buyout as requested.
• Collaborates with all departments to ensure contracts, insurance, and bonds are current and received.
• Maintain client relationships at the appropriate level reinforcing the Company’s commitment to continuously addressing their needs and interests.
• Work collaboratively with outside parties to accomplish client and organization’s goals.
• Perform time studies on processes and data mining on previous projects.
• Prepare and present overall scope and supporting word narratives of estimate for review.
• Maintain and update data files in our custom project management software.
• Demonstrate effective relationship building within the project team and throughout the Company.
• Assist in keeping team members informed and active in decision-making.
• Promote positive subcontractor relations by dealing professionally and fairly with all subcontractors and vendors instilling this philosophy in project team at all times.
• Maintain organization and follow up with PMs, department heads, vendors and clients.

REQUIREMENTS:

• High level of organization skills with attention to detail a must.
• Knowledge of Woodworking – Millwork and/or Furniture Making required.
• Ability to understand architectural drawings.
• Experience in Adobe, Bluebeam and DWG TrueView functionality preferred.
• AutoCad skills and knowledge of Innergy software a plus.
• You will be working within a custom software system. Programming in C// language preferred.
