Full Job Description
JOB SUMMARY

The Estimator II (Systems Proposals) is responsible for technical and commercial review, solution development, and proposal activities associated with generating proposals for Yokogawa's product offerings. This position will be accountable for

coordinating proposal activities with the appropriate sales personnel, project and application engineering personnel, inside clerical staff, vendors, sales representatives, customers, and any other stakeholders to efficiently and accurately generate

ICSS proposals with minimal supervision
JOB DUTIES
  • Responsible for implementing and maintaining a systematic approach to the proposal process that results in accurate
  • ICSS proposals.
  • Responsible for effectively and efficiently logging all proposals and communicating status of proposals and resulting
  • project orders to the appropriate Yokogawa personnel.
  • Ensure all phases of the proposal process are completed in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Works directly with customers and vendors to ensure customer requirements are addressed quickly and accurately.
  • Maintain an accurate and complete file of all documents and communication associated with each proposal.
  • Responsible for creating a schedule for each major task in the proposal process and monitoring the progress of each
  • task. Identify gaps, delays, and issues and work quickly to develop a solution to overcome those constraints to ensure
  • on-time issuance of ICSS proposals.
  • Responsible for all phases of the proposal process including the technical solution, pricing, documentation
  • requirements, clarifications and exceptions, and any other requirement specific to each proposal.
  • Responsible for generating accurate and timely proposals in accordance with technical specifications and commercial
  • requirements.
  • Responsible for continuously improving the proposal process to include improvements in quality, efficiency, and
  • accuracy.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

SPECIFICATIONS

Qualifications:
  • Must be capable of developing a working knowledge of Yokogawa control systems in process automation, including networking, hardware and software components, engineering and integration, and project execution,
  • Must be able to work effectively with others.
  • Must demonstrate excellent written and verbal language skills.
  • Must have demonstrated the ability to plan and execute, establish procedures, document, and set priorities.
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision and use good judgement when making commitments to others.
  • Must be proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite of products including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Must be able to learn and improve new proposal tools as they are rolled out.
  • Must be flexible and able to respond to change requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Experienced with the project execution process and generates proposals in accordance with those processes.
  • Effectively communicates with all stakeholders to ensure a consistently high level of satisfaction.

Education: 4-year degree in Business or technical discipline preferred; 3-5 years of relevant experience preferred
