Blizzard entertainment is seeking a talented tournament license manager to help own and coordinate the way our esports team oversees and executes our contracts. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, thinks big and loves developing new business opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and improve license management systems for the global esports department
  • Continually deliver licensing on-boarding and education for global internal stakeholders
  • Collaborate with esports franchise teams and legal to accurately create and complete contracts and licenses for business management
  • Serve as the liaison between business experts and product owners on the esports team, while also managing relationship with Blizzard Legal team
  • Track contract and license variances between franchises and regional teams within esports
  • Partner with payment team to track and deliver fully executed license agreements
  • Provide reporting and documentation on contract / license status, changes over time, and overall KPI’s and improvements
  • Identify bottlenecks and roadblocks within workflows, and triage “on fire” issues while developing long-term solutions
  • Assist in developing new contract / license types or templates as well as systems and training to support their rollout

 Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in license or contract management
  • Strong background in understanding IP contractlanguage (even better if within esports)
  • A keen familiarity in partnering with global teams and communicating concerns or updates
  • Ability to multitask a variety of projects, processes, contracts, as well as teams and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong manager of tools such as JIRA and Confluence, or other equivalent documentation software
  • Unparalleled stakeholder management and an awareness of when to “manage up”
  • Expert ability to approach problems and challenges with a neutral and diplomatic approach to find the best solution

 Bonus
