Job DescriptionSeeking a team leader to support a team of recovery professionals. This person needs to be able to work independently, develop key objectives and successfully implement plans and achieve targets.
Note: This is a hybrid position requiring 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Direct Management and support of a team of recovery professionals for a high-volume client.
- Responsible for in depth file review of each submission and assignment to the recovery team.
- Direct communication with clients to advise on recovery strategy.
- Management of various operations functions performed by the team in accordance with established workflows and best practice.
- Communicate with stakeholders to ensure processes are understood and/or concerns are resolved timely and appropriately
- Collaborate with team members to establish individual business goals
- Provide appropriate coaching and create individual performance improvement plans as necessary
- Identify efficiency improvement opportunities and engaging appropriate resources for review and implementation of same.
- Periodic reporting on team performance
- Ensure completion of all time sensitive and priority work within pre-determined guidelines
- Ensure workflows and processes support initiatives and meet regulatory requirements.
- Displays professional communication skills when dealing with internal and external customers.
- Deliver candid, ongoing informal performance feedback to employees.
- Encourage, recognize, and provide opportunities for employee self-development.
- Take lead in ensuring training is conducted and implement monitors to measure improvement and further developmental needs.
Qualifications- Undergraduate degree preferred
- 7-10 years of claims management experience
- People management experience preferred.
- Proven leadership and management skills
- Ability to plan, organize and direct the execution of project goals and objectives
- Excellent planning and organizational skills
- Ability to manage one or more projects at a given time
- Strong system skills and the ability to be a system resource.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint & and Outlook
- The ability to provide operations support as necessary
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and organize duties to obtain optimum use of time and meet deadlines
- Ability to learn and retain new concepts and procedures, and adapt personal behavior to the changing environment, e.g., demonstrate willingness to accept change, support team members, collaborate with manager to accomplish tasks and activities
- Must be self-starter with solid planning skills
- Ability to work independently and willingness to accept responsibility for work product and results
The pay range for the role is $82,200 to $153,800. The specific offer will depend on an applicant's skills and other factors.
