Job description
In your new role you will:
- Lead team of Equipment Maintenance Technicians
- Work with area shift leadership team to identify priorities impacting factory performance
- Work with area MTs to ensure priorities are supported with a clear path to recovery
- Develop and implement plan to improve core skills of the shift maintenance team with respect to technical knowledge
- Apply company policy where and when required
- Work with the area leadership team to drive team's overall success
- Identify opportunities to continuously improve the area and factory performance
Your Profile
You are best equipped for this task if you have:
- Ensure equipment personnel are following all Safety protocol (PPE, LO/TO, Haz Mat, etc.)
- Ensure effective communication, coordination and prioritization of daily tactical MT activities
- Ensure resources are available and engaged in the correct activities in direct support of manufacturing and engineering
- Ensure that appropriate job skill, safety training, and growth opportunities are provided for maintenance team
- Ensure necessary resources are available for the maintenance team (parts, labor, and tools) to support manufacturing needs
- Ensure tool down parts orders are expedited correctly and escalated when required
- Document and Track Team Performance data and review with the team
- Ensure that actions to improve area performance are identified, assigned and resolved in a timely manner, including execution of long down action plans
- Ensure all PM activities are scheduled and completed according to specifications and procedures
- Provide key interface between work shifts to ensure effective communication
- Teach, coach and mentor through development of the cultural and technical attributes of a Total Quality Culture
- Supports continuous improvement activities through Safety, Quality, Delviery, Cost and People
- Participates in area meetings, cross functional teams and supplier meetings as required
