JOB SUMMARY

Applies Systems Administration/Engineering subject matter knowledge to solve common and complex technical server administration issues within established guidelines and by identifying and recommending appropriate alternatives. Acts as a team or project leader and/or system architect providing direction to team activities and facilitates information validation and team decision making process. Does not require day to day supervision and has ability to handle most unique situations. May seek advice in order to make decisions on complex technical issues.

This position specifically supports Epic Systems web infrastructure and works closely with internal Epic application teams and Epic Technical Specialists.

• Candidates with a current Epic Client Systems Manager Certification are highly desirable.

• Extensive experience with Epic client systems and Web-based application systems (i.e. Hyperspace Web, Web Blob Server, Epic Printing Services, Interconnect, CareEverywhere/Elsewhere, PlanLink, EpicCareLink, MyChart, Haiku/Canto, Kuiper, etc.) is required.

• Implementation, support, and maintenance of Windows Server Operating Systems and Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS),

• Candidates should have a good understanding of networking fundamentals, server load balancing, alerting/monitoring, server architecture, security, performance tuning, troubleshooting, build automation, patch management, automated deployments and packaging.

Implementation, support, and maintenance of Windows Server Operating Systems;

Implementation, support, and maintenance of Microsoft Clustering or other HA solutions;

Strong Directory Services Administration (Active Directory, LDAP, ADAM);

Strong understanding of networking fundamentals and troubleshooting;

Strong understanding of backup / recovery and other business continuity services;

Strong understanding of alerting and monitoring;

Strong understanding of architecture, security, and performance tuning;

Strong understanding of storage technologies including SAN and NAS (Configuration, Zoning on Fiber Channel​

Switches, and multi-pathing);

Strong VBscript , ADSI, and WMI skills;

Advanced knowledge of Windows kernel and registry;

Knowledge of build automation, patch management, automated deployments and packaging;
