PAE is seeking a EOD SME and Training Specialist:
Job Description: Provides customized Counter-IED training and subject matter expertise to a diverse base of U.S. and foreign military customers. Delivers courses in classroom and field environments that focus on the application of practical theory through hands-on exercises and scenario-based practice events. Presents assigned topics in accordance with approved curriculum, maintains proficiency in instructional techniques, incorporates current examples in the teaching process (e.g. develops clarification or real world examples of application related to the subject matter); develops and maintains classroom techniques that reflect professionalism, good discipline, and enhances the participants learning experience. Alternates teaching techniques in order to maintain high motivation and interest in the subject areas, prepares and administers remedial assignments, and submits written recommendations for curriculum updates to ensure consistency with changes and innovations in latest curriculum project documents. Researches current intelligence relating to applicable missions and integrates relevant information into courses. Evaluates effectiveness of training to ensure that training objectives are met. Customers include Counter-IED units supporting Conventional Forces and Special Mission Units conducting combat operations on today’s asymmetric threat battlefields. Training programs are designed to improve the safety, efficiency, and effectiveness of military forces responding to regional and/or worldwide threats.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Individual required to perform at the career level with a complete understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories and concepts. Working under only general direction, provides technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems. Independently determines, develops, and executes approaches to solutions. Previously qualified Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) -OR- Special Operations Force (SOF) -OR- Combat Arms qualified professional with 5 - 7 years of operational and deployment experience. Formal instructor certification (military and/or commercial) required.
