Evoqua Water Technologies LLC’s Lowell, MA, office seeks an Environmental Scientist/Engineer II to research, plan and perform technical duties in the, purification and remediation of water and wastewater. Duties include: (i) developing novel electrochemical and other technologies to maintain competitive edge; (ii) developing and improving material formulations related to water treatment products; (iii) transferring new formulations from the laboratory to the product development organization; (iv) conferring with scientists or engineers to interpret test results, or develop nonstandard tests; (v) maintaining laboratory instruments to ensure proper working order and troubleshooting malfunctions; (vi) writing technical papers or reports of preparing standards and specifications for processes, facilities, products, or tests; and (vii) compiling and analyzing test information.
Must have a PhD degree (or foreign equivalent) in Electrochemistry or Materials Science plus one (1) year of experience in a related position involving the development and characterization of electrochemical products.
Must also have experience with: (i) electromembrane separation technologies, electrocatalytic reactions, catalyst formulation across water treatment applications; (ii) the use of electrochemical technologies for the removal of specific contaminants in water; and (iii) the development of analytical techniques for new electrochemically active materials and processes.
