The time is right to join HNTB Corporation!  HNTB is currently seeking an Environmental Planning Manager.  This position can be located in either our Philadelphia, Harrisburg, King of Prussia or Allentown, PA offices.


Job Summary

Develops plans and policies to meet with social economic, and physical needs of communities, including land use transportation planning, transit planning, environmental planning, development, public facilities, and parks and recreational facilities.  Responsible for assisting in the supervision, development, mentoring and evaluation of staff members. Coordinates work efforts and reviews work of others.  Coordinates among leadership within the group, office and the company on a regular basis. 

Essential Responsibility

• Assists director in planning, organizing, developing and maintaining programs for efficient, productive utilization of staff in providing 4for4 client service and performance —quality work, on time, on budget and to the client’s satisfaction on every project.

• Understands and assists with all aspects of the profession within the office, including business development initiatives, project management, technical applications and design applications.

• Manage budgets, schedules, communications and documentation

• Responsible for preparation of scope and fee estimates. 

• Leads special assignments on behalf of the group, office, division. 

• Responsible for preparation of scope and fee estimates.

• Other duties as assigned


Basic Qualification

Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Geology
12 years of related experience

Preferred Qualification/Skills

Master’s Degree in Planning or related field

General Work Conditions

Office Environment:  Work is generally performed in an office environment in which there is only minimal exposure to potentially unpleasant working conditions.  Incumbent must have the ability to stand and sit frequently, and reach horizontally as well as vertically for overhead use.
