The Hygiene and Environmental Coordinator is accountable for providing advice relating to specific projects, regulations and company activities in keeping with the overall objectives of the company to protect worker health and safety and the environment. The Hygiene and Environmental Coordinator is accountable for designing, planning and implementing effective management systems and control programs to ensure that operations are conducted in compliance with occupational hygiene and environmental legislation, company policies and procedures.

Applicants must have a University degree in biology, chemistry, toxicology, environmental science, engineering or related science and possess an Occupational Hygienist or Registered Occupational Hygienist certification or able to acquire within five years of employment. The ideal candidate will have three to five years of experience working in an environmental or occupational hygiene related role. Strong leadership and communication, analytical and planning skills are a requirement for this position. Experience in a mining related field would be an asset.
