Job Description:

Entry-level IC engineering position contributes to the design verification, layout of valuable forward-looking high-performance analog / mixed-signal IP and systems for a wide range of applications and in a variety of process technologies. Blocks and systems include but are not limited to state-of-the-art data converters, I/O interfaces, power management and control. IC layout and verification using industrial standard tools, layout verification including DRC, LVS, ERC, providing feedback for PDK development, following procedures to tapeout IC on time, enhancing layout and verification capability, circuit simulation/verification.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

    IC layout using Cadence Virtuoso and Cadence layout tools

    IC layout verification using Mentor Graphics Calibre

    Circuit block layout and verification

    Chip floor planning, layout and verification, and mask layer checks

    Circuit simulation and verification.

Minimum Qualifications     

Minimum Requirements:

    BS in Electrical Engineering or MS in Electrical Engineer preferred

    Understanding of IC layout, semiconductor device mask layers and device formation

    Knowledge and experience on analog and digital circuits, simulations and verification

    Knowledge with industrial standard design tools like Cadence Virtuoso, Mentor Graphics Calibre

    Knowledge and experience of computer programming

    Experience on using Linux workstation

    Strong analytical and problem solving skills, attention to details

    Ability to self-manage and meet deadlines

    Strong verbal and written communication skills

    Ability to work in teams and collaborate cross functionally

Preferred Qualifications     

    Bachelor in Electrical Engineering or equivalent preferred
    3+ years industrial experience
    Understanding of IC layout, semiconductor device mask layers and device formation
    Proficient with industrial standard design tools like Cadence Virtuoso, Mentor Graphics Calibre, demonstrated debugging ability of fixing LVS and DRC error reported from the tools
    Knowledge and experience of Skill coding preferred
    Experience on using Linux workstation and IC database management tools
    Strong analytical and problem solving skills, attention to details
    Ability to self-manage and meet deadlines
    Strong verbal and written communication skills
    Ability to work in teams and collaborate cross functionally
