Enterprise Software Deployment Lead

This full-time permanent position is located within the Bureau of Information Technology (BITS) within the Division of Business Management (DBM) and is headquartered at the Hill Farms State Office Building on the near west side of Madison, Wisconsin . We are also conveniently located close to the restaurants, shopping, and entertainment of the Hilldale Mall .

This position allows the option to work remotely up to 5 days per week. All employees are expected to work within the State of Wisconsin. Position Summary

In this position, you will serve as the primary subject matter expert on WisDOT workstation management, software packaging, software deployments, application patching, and Operating System Deployments (OSD). You'll be directly responsible for providing technical leadership to technical analysts and administrators in performing those duties, and coordinating the work of task forces and committees, comprised of IT and customer personnel involved in the development and implementation of enterprise software deployment systems/solutions. In addition, you will be responsible for proposing and establishing technical policies, procedures, and guidelines for sound management, administration, and control of the tools WisDOT utilizes to manage the workstation environment.

Salary Information

This position is in schedule-range (07-32) with an annual salary of $76,960 - $116,480 (or $37 - $56 per hour), plus excellent benefits . A twelve-month probationary period is required. Pay for current state employees will be set in accordance with the Wisconsin State Compensation Plan.

Qualifications

Minimally qualified applicants must detail having experience in all the following to be considered:

• Significant professional experience supporting and managing software packaging, software deployments, application patching, and Operating System Deployments
• Significant experience performing technical research and/or consulting services (specifically to support products implemented, new tool research and/or implementation of enterprise software deployment solutions)
• Experience leading the development, recommendation, and/or presentation of short and long-term strategies for IT workstation management/software packaging

In addition to having experience in all of the above, well qualified applicants will also have experience in at least one of the following:

• Experience serving in a team lead or trainer capacity
• Experience performing technical and security fit/gap analysis for software packaging and software patching
