Overview & Responsibilities

The Rackspace enterprise sales team is currently seeking an Enterprise Field Sales Executive to join our field-based sales team in order to bring our industry-leading Fanatical Support ® to more enterprise customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible formaximizing revenue through acquisition sales across the entire Rackspace product portfolio.

  • Create a detailed strategic plan on acquiring and growing enterprise clients

  • Cultivate new major-named logos in assigned geographic market based on a named account list.

  • Strategically focus on consultative selling our services (cloud, hosting and managed services) based on prospective client needs.

  • Stay educated on our suite of services to meet multiple prospective customer needs within the assigned market.

  • Leverage existing relationships to rapidly increase Rackspace account penetration.

  • Effectively organize workload to exceed sales metrics and accurately forecast all revenue opportunities efficiently.

  • Manage complex customer situations and contacts.

  • Must be able to handle price negotiations with a focus on value-based selling and position the core differentiators of Rackspace.

  • Use knowledge to influence, teach and motivate others toward accomplishing a common goal.

  • Be able to communicate complex technical information and ideas in a way that others will understand.

  • Demonstrated ability to consistently provide Fanatical Support across multiple cloud platforms.

Qualifications

Must present a Resume or Cover Letter that reflects the following required current experience and residency within assigned geographical market.

  • 10+ years of complex enterprise IT sales experience with a proven track record of industry C-level contacts based within the assigned market of Fortune 500 companies that can lead to successfully exceeding sales targets.

  • 7+ years of significant industry knowledge and solid eco system within cloud / hosting / managed services.

  • 5+ years of high energy tenured sales experience, expert hunting for new acquisition of named enterprise accounts.

  • Technical and business acumen to communicate solutions based on customer requirements.

  • Ability to be a valued trusted advisor through having knowledgeable complex technical conversations.

  • Familiar with CRM tools (i.e., Salesforce.com).

  • Effective communicator and presenter who consistently aligns with senior-level management in order to positively affect final purchase decisions.

  • Highly skilled in managing complex sales cycles and navigating large procurement organizations and processes.

  • Viewed as a leader and an expert on high-performing teams.

  • Expert at applying our adopted sales stage methodology to ensure maximum revenue is generated from every opportunity created and shares this knowledge with others.
