The Basics

  • Provide leadership to cross-functional teams by helping define clear, realistic goals; clear barriers to team progress, and facilitate rapid decision-making and execution.
  • Works with the project team and consolidates/optimizes functional inputs to develop, maintain, and track an accurate, integrated project schedule, resource plan, deliverables, and budget.
  • Works with technical or functional expert teams to define and track requirements and assure appropriate verification for delivered solutions
  • Ensure linkage between operational activities and overarching business goals

  • Use strong program and organizational knowledge, leadership and active facilitation to enable effective team meetings and collaboration
  • Collect, analyze, integrate, and maintain key cross-functional deliverables (e.g. integrated project plans, change management plans, internal and external contracts, etc.)
  • Understand critical path activities and anticipates steps that may be bottlenecks
  • Monitors and manages team performance metrics (time, cost and quality milestones) relative to an agreed upon project plan
  • Facilitate project risk management activities as appropriate (i.e. identification, assessment, mitigation, and management of business risks)
  • Complete progress reporting on predetermined timelines
  • Identify deviations from approved project plans and inform executive stakeholders as to their nature and extent
  • Assists teams in the definition and alignment of business processes
  • Assist in the revision and/or creation of documentation, ensuring all Business Processes are documented in the same format/structure, presented in an easily digestible format and are readily available to all users
  • Manage resources in alignment with approved business and project plans
  • Support development of project proposals that speak to the stakeholder’s needs, concerns, and objectives
  • Serve as guide for colleagues to build a highly capable, engaged and high performing project team; support efforts to develop organizational talent
  • Monitor project performance (budget and schedule) actuals vs. approved plans; follow best practices for managing variances
  • Monitor other project resources as required (capital, facilities, talent, etc.)
  • Maintain strong awareness of corporate policies, processes and regulations applicable to assigned projects
  • Foster execution excellence by facilitating use of company processes and quality management best practices in the execution of projects; foster a culture of continuous improvement
  • Inform staff on program management processes as needed

What You Bring

  • Minimum five years of project management experience, or a demonstrated track record of applicable project leadership experience, in a relevant IT, technical or healthcare field
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant IT, technical or healthcare field is required;
  • Familiarity with healthcare markets preferred
  • Track record of cross-functional experience spanning different areas, including but not limited to Information Technology, Human Resources, Marketing, Finance & Accounting, Legal, Compliance, Cloud Services, and Data Analytics
  • General understanding and experience with Six Sigma, Lean, and related quality management best practices
  • Possess excellent composition and editing abilities
  • Technical documentation writing and maintenance
  • Business Process creation, evaluation, and design
  • Demonstrated track record of leadership competencies (planning, analysis, communication, coaching, etc.)
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically when planning, managing teams, and managing processes
  • Skillful use of interpersonal skills and influence to accomplish work without formal authority and to ensure optimal team performance
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, which enable successful collaboration with executive level stakeholders (internal and external)
  • Strong experience facilitating project team meetings, cross-functional communication and decision making, and ensuring alignment with internal and external stakeholders
  • Sound judgment and problem-solving skills for solving complex, multi-variable problems
  • Core understanding of pricing models and strategies for various markets and offering types
  • Core contracts acumen, including experience with Memorandum of Understanding (MOU’s), Statements of Work (SOW’s), Master Service Agreements (MSA’s), Business Associate Agreements (BAA’s), and similar contractual documentation
  • Familiarity with applicable governmental regulations and the role of internal processes and controls to assure compliance
  • PMP certification is preferred but not required
  • Ability to travel up to 25% time
