The Enterprise Environment Manager will have a broad understanding of what it takes to deploy and manage integrated environments in a multi-application landscape. Strong planning and collaboration skills, experience with test data management, infrastructure (such as systems, networks, and databases), an understanding of risk and a strong ability to work collaboratively across both business and technical teams will be required to achieve organizational objectives.


  • Design and deliver the ongoing integrated environment plan to support Columbia's body of technical projects
  • Ownership of all shared non-production environments and the integrated datasets
  • End to end environment build out planning and environment provisioning
  • Maintain shared non-production environments to permit consistent integrations testing
  • Establish and enforce processes to ensure a consistent, well managed integrated test environment
  • Comprehend the test data needs and concerns for multiple workstreams
  • Identify and resolve dependencies, constraints, risks, and issues
  • Proactively forecast the demand for enterprise integrated testing environments
  • Communicate environment status, risks, and issues to stakeholders as needed
  • Implement strategies that support multiple styles of delivery (waterfall, agile, CI/CD)
  • Identify and help select third-party tools and technologies that will improve release management
  • Perform environment refreshes as required
  • Assist in design/implementation of necessary build tools to increase release efficiency
  • Work closely with other IS teams in order to drive the release planning process and define best practices to efficiently support major, minor, emergency, and off-cycle releases
  • Responsible to evaluate and make recommendations for future improvement to improve the overall quality, efficiencies, and outcomes achievable from shared testing environments


  • B.S. / B.A. in Computer Science or related field or 10+ years related experience
  • 10 + years of IT experience with growth in responsibility and expanding technical expertise
  • 5 + years enterprise experience in any of the following Test Data Management, Software Build Management, Release Engineering, Release Management, Data Conversion Analyst/Manager
  • Demonstrated expertise across the Software Development Lifecycle
  • Proven project management experience (planning, risk/issue management)
  • Applied experience in enterprise technologies such as Databases, Storage, SAP Basis, Client Server Applications, EDI
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) – proven ability to communicate with both IT & Business Partners at all levels
