Job Title: Enterprise Architect

Job Location: Washington, DC

Overview: Abacus Technology is seeking an Enterprise Architect to provide support for the IT and business infrastructure at NASA Headquarters.  This is a full time position.

Major Duties and Responsibilities: Manage, assess, enhance, and maintain NASA’s Enterprise Architecture model, methodology, and framework to include technical architecture, data architecture, business architecture, and system architectures.  Develop and maintain the Enterprise Architecture Plan and Business and Enterprise Architecture Model updates.  Develop, maintain, and update the IT Standards Reference Model.  Develop architectural products and deliverables for the enterprise and operational business lines.

Qualifications: 8years experience in planning, analysis, design, and construction of information systems on an enterprise-wide basis or across a major sector of the enterprise.  Master’s degree in Computer Science Information Systems, Engineering, Business or a related field and/or equivalent work experience.  Federal Enterprise Architecture Certification or equivalent  is desired.  Experience providing high-level architectural expertise to management, business and technical staff.  Able to develop strategy of system and design the infrastructure necessary to support that strategy.  Able to advise on selection of technological purchases with regards to processing, data storage, data access, and applications development.  Experience setting standards for the client/server relational database structure for the organization (SQL, Oracle, Sybase, etc.).  Experience advising on the feasibility of potential future projects to management.  Extensive Federal Enterprise Architect (FEA) experience, along with the Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) experience is desired.  Must be a US citizen and hold a current Secret.
