Description OneAmerica is in search of an Enterprise Architect to join our Enterprise Architecture Team. This position is responsible for enabling the alignment of IT investments with the various business strategies and the evolution of overall Architecture for the Enterprise. The Enterprise Architect will provide overall direction, guidance, and definition of the enterprise’s architecture to support the corporate business and IT strategies. This position participates as a top-level expert leading multiple efforts, or a single large effort in IT investment analysis, design, scope, and approach. The position will also assist in ongoing architecture management functions such reviews, governance, and direction of the architecture function. The qualified candidate must have matrix leadership experience, experience in multi-year IT investment planning and funding analysis, experience translating business needs into IT investments, and have lead technical architecture development.
Requirements • Interface and coordinate tasks with internal and external technical resources as required
• Mentor Lead Implementers (Tech Leads, Application Architects, Infrastructure Architects) to develop sustainable architecture practices
• Build and lead matrix, cross-functional teams
• Lead the creation and delivery of Target Architecture Documents, Reusable Solution Patterns, technical tradeoff analysis, along with architecture status and reviews as necessary
• Collaboratively create current state capabilities and architecture analysis.
• Collaboratively lead the creation of target architectures
• Collaboratively lead the definition IS investment strategies, roadmaps, and the enabling standards (including SWOT analysis)
• Collaboratively lead the definition of “Order of Magnitude” implementation and ongoing support costs for various investment options
• Collaboratively lead the production of architecture tradeoff analysis
• Establish and maintain a trusted advisor and partnership relationship to business users and technical implementers
• Mentor technical leads and domain architects and provide feedback as requested
• Communicate (sell/present) architecture vision within various projects
• Manage alignment of IT investments with the various business strategies
• Monitor implementation to manage new / change architecture impacts and provide assistance where needed
• Manage conflict relating to technical scope, approach, and platform usage
• Manage common architecture impacts across multiple projects and/or investments
• Provide leadership in defining the architecture and business impacts of funding approach, staffing models, and optimization around department and enterprise concerns

Experience
At least 5 years as an enterprise architect role acting as an individual contributor or leading a team in the design and implementation of one or more of the following: application and integration, data, technology, infrastructure, cloud, services and/or security architecture
Certification in one or more Enterprise Architecture Frameworks (TOGAF, FEA, Zachman…)
