Job Title: 3D Drafting Technician

Duration: 24 Months

Location: Rapid City, SD 57703

Pay Rate: $18/hr

Job Description:

Workplace Environment: 

? Fast paced, supportive teamwork environment that promotes peer collaboration. 

? Modern, open concept office environment that is ergonomically and environmentally friendly. 

? Candidate will shift between two groups. 

? One week they may work with electrical team and the next with Progress Rail work.

Typical Day

? Working with electrical group, and the Progress Rail Division background in these areas would be helpful. 

?Responsible to prepare 3D CAD models and engineering drawings using Creo 3D software, assist engineers in troubleshooting designs and drawings, and maintain engineering release and change documentation. 

Education Requirements: 

?Associatedegree in drafting or related required.

Technical Skills

? Open to recent grads. Please reflect coursework on the resume. 

? 5+ years of Computer Aided Drafting experiencepreferred. 

? 1 year of experience with Computer Aided Drafting Software required (school experience ok). 

? Basic Microsoft Office and Windows knowledge required. 

?Experience with 3D CAD software preferred (preferably PTC Creo). 

?Experience with electrical harness and schematics preferred. 

?Experience with NX preferred.

Soft Skills

Required Skills: 

? Basic soft skills including verbal and written communication; 

? Basic problem solving and critical thinking skills. 

Desired Skills: 

? Good organizational and time management skills; 

? Good mechanical aptitude and 3D spatial awareness; 

?Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing; 

? Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment; 

? Flexibility to adapt to the frequent priority shifts of changing business demand.
