Engineering Sales Representative

Essential Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for the direct sales to the following served markets: Investor Owned Utilities, Cooperatives/Municipalities, Power Plants, Industrial/OEM, Electrical Contractor, Services Industry, and Government.
Will prospect, cold call, present to customers, negotiate prices and close deals.
Background should include knowledge of transformers, circuit breakers, switchgear and protective relays.
Will use knowledge to explain the technical components, functions and benefits of products to prospective clients
Extensive customer interface requires Technical Sales Representative to reside within the territory.
Must have excellent time and territory management skills.
Must have excellent communication skills; written and verbal.
Ability to interpret non-verbal communication cues in order to close sales.
Other duties as assigned.
Education: Degree a plus. BSEE preferred.
Experience: Requires four years’ experience in sales to electric utilities, apparatus manufacturers and heavy industrial facilities.
Ability to work independently as well as within small teams.
Demonstrated ability to multi-task with ability to get things done.
Self-directed professional with the ability to maintain own schedule and prioritization of your day
Strong organizational skills.
Requires up to 60% travel. A company vehicle will be provided.
