The Engineering Quality Analyst supports and coaches the project teams in the tailoring and implementation of the product launch process, adapted to the current situation of the project. This person will drive product quality by ensuring that the principles and practices of Visteon product and software quality assurance are applied throughout the development life cycle.
Some Typical Duties:
• Guide and mentor software team in process understanding • Work to ensure consistency in following corporate process guidelines • Work with Continuous Improvement team to drive process improvements • Lead periodic audits of software and systems teams to ensure compliance • Facilitate Agile adoption in software projects • Assess project status regarding planning, feature implementation, and defect trend • Gather and report key process metrics to assess the health of active product launch projects • Share challenges, lessons learned, and best practices with global counterparts • Liaison with Customer Engineering Quality to align expectations • Enable the achievement of Automotive SPICE and CMMI compliance as required by our customers
YEARS EXPERIENCE: 5 or more years of embedded software development experience, preferably in automotive industry.
DEGREE STRONGLY PREFERRED: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
DESIRED COMPETENCIES/EXPERIENCE: • Experience developing embedded software, preferably in automotive products • Experience with Agile software development, preferably using Scrum framework • Familiar with software development life cycle • Familiar with Automotive SPICE and/or CMMI • Excellent communication and inter-personal skills • Able to instruct, coach, and inspire others • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously • Negotiation skills are highly desired SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (i.e. Overtime, Travel, etc.): Occasional travel required (domestic and international).
