Make an Impact

As an Engineering Program Manager (EPM), you will be based in San Mateo, CA and report to the Director - EPM. You will make an impact to our Connected Devices team by managing the execution of complex hardware development programs for our display watch team, specifically by creating and executing the product development schedule process in the context of product requirements and specifications, managing the communication of a large cross-functional team, and managing risks associated with product delivery.


We will count on you to be responsible for the following:

  • Overseeing and guiding the hardware product development efforts from project initiation through initial production ramp
  • Creating schedules to understand work stream dependencies and sequencing
  • Clearly communicating expectations for work output and completion dates to technical team members
  • Acting as a mediator between the development team (ME, Embedded, Quality, SW, ID, UI, UX) to resolve issues and facilitate solution finding
  • Coordinating parallel path design efforts as contingency planning for high-risk designs
  • Tracking and reporting on budgets and weekly progress towards development milestones
  • Organizing logistics of group conference calls, on-site meetings, and manufacturing supplier visits (domestic and international)
  • Motivating and inspiring team members when needed to meet milestones
  • Developing a strong positive work relationship will all product stakeholders that is based on responsiveness, clear communication, and serving their specific product development needs at any given time

Knowledge, Skills, Experience:

  • You have achieved a Bachelor Degree in Engineering and have at least 5 years of experience in an engineering-related field
  • You have at least 3 years of experience in development of high volume consumer electronics
  • You are familiar with Arena PLM or similar programs
  • You have proven success with building strong relationships with internal and external teams
  • You have excellent project management skills with the ability to create process and follow through
  • You are a strategic influencer and creative problem solver
  • You are flexible and adaptable to changes in the business and have the ability to manage through ambiguity while aligning work priorities with strategic business direction
