Opportunity

We are currently seeking an area manager to lead a sub-region within Parsons business (Ontario). This person will be responsible for the implementation of business strategy, project quality and compliance. The successful candidate will be charged with implementing the regional strategy and supporting the annual and long-term business plans, as well as providing Project Management leadership on key projects in the area.

Responsibilities:

Manages and develops key client accounts with the Business Development team;
Ensures that the required governance activities are satisfactorily completed and that the area through its projects are meeting the financial performance objectives;
Leverages technical, communication, relationship and strategic abilities to win and deliver projects as well as support the business strategy of the Systems Division;
Provides project management, project controls and oversight with the technical director of assigned projects. Provides management and technical direction for all facets of operations, coordinating with the Division Managers and reporting to the Canadian Regional Manager.
Successfully wins and executes projects within the operational and strategic framework, with the support of business development, Regional and Division management.
Leads, motivates, develops and builds a team of committed professionals to maximize the business.
Supports new market initiatives by developing strategies and leveraging industry and client relationships Ensures technical reviews of projects are undertaken to enable the project approach and deliverables to meet contract and quality requirements, maximize features that will reduce construction cost and maximize constructability, and minimize delivery costs.


The ideal candidate will have a degree in Engineering, Business or other related technical degree, along with 15 years of industry related experience in a client facing role. 10 years of project and procurement management experience is preferred. The successful candidate will have strong relationships within the Systems community and the ability to network with both internal and external stakeholders. We are looking for a team player who is proactive and results driven; The ability to develop business strategies to support regional goals is required.
