Job Description

PayLease has an exciting opportunity for an Engineering Manager/Site Reliability Engineer to join our team.  We are seeking an engineering leader who understands IT operations, software development and site reliability engineering. A high degree of teamwork and flexibility are essential for this position.

Minimum Qualifications

  •  3+ years experience with leading IT operations for enterprise integration products
  • 3+ years practical experience in supporting and developing business critical applications.
  • 2+  years experience providing technical leadership while managing customer expectations.
  • 2+ years experience leading software development teams in an Agile environment.
  • 2+ years experience developing and maintaining CICD pipelines.
  • 2+ years as a people leader developing talent towards operational excellence.
  • U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident status required.
  • Visa Sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide operational engineering leadership to a team of talented engineers.
  • Coordinate with internal/external stakeholders to ensure operational issues are prioritized and resolved to customer delight.
  • Collaborate with engineering architecture and leadership team to develop scalable, highly available, resilient systems.
  • Lead software development of tools and automation to solve operational problems.
  • Set and manage uptime, system response, performance, and other key metrics.
  • Drive and govern incident and problem management processes.
  • Coordinate work across multiple teams that are impacted by system changes.
  • Attract and retain talented engineering professionals.

Required qualifications:

  • 3+ years experience with leading IT operations for enterprise integration products.
  •  3+ years practical experience in supporting and developing business critical applications.
  • 2+  years experience providing technical leadership while managing customer expectations.
  • 2+ years experience leading software development teams in an Agile environment.
  • 2+ years experience developing and maintaining CICD pipelines.
  • 2+ years as a people leader developing talent towards operational excellence.
  • Manage reliability functions such as monitoring and alerting solutions, latency, load, performance, uptime and error budgets.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced environment effectively managing multiple priorities.
  • Very strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong people leadership skills.
  • Customer first mindset.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Knowledge of complex distributed systems, failure modes and effects analysis.
  • Experience with cloud hosting and system design.
  • Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or equivalent experience.
