Oversee engineering staff tasked with planning, development, and execution of all engineering projects to support high volume, mechanized distribution centers including: engineered labor standard development and documentation, network and facility design, process improvement and innovation, and other strategic initiatives.

 

Accountabilities:

 

*** Review and evaluate business key performance indicators for trends or gaps, and identify and define recommended solutions, corrective actions, or other opportunities.

 

*** Liaise with operations managers, planners, logistics, floor operations, and operations team to assess operations performance and identify improvement opportunities.

 

*** Provide project management for new projects and process improvements including development of project justification and scope for distribution center construction, consolidation, move, or start-up.

 

*** Conduct studies pertaining to cost control, cost reduction, and equipment purchase, lease, and maintenance.

 

***Supportdistributionnetwork design for capital projects, including distribution systems and automation, conveyor systems, controls, and other material handling equipment.

 

*** Determine the most efficient sequence of operations and workflow and establish methods for maximum utilization of warehouse facilities and personnel.

 

*** Develop and implement engineered labor standards and pay for performance system.

 

*** Drive lean culture with support from the operations team.

 

***Support operations with process documentation, improvement initiatives, key performance indicator failure resolution, and account management support.
