Growing industrial manufacturer is looking for an Engineering Manager.

The Engineering Manager will oversee all aspects of the Engineering functions and support the President in the operation and administration of the Engineering Department assignments, goals and initiatives. The primary objective is to provide the best products to the market at the least cost, in the quickest time and with the best service.  

Essential Job Responsibilities: 

?      Manage new product development by working with Marketing and Sales to develop new products or to improve the existing products for new and emerging markets.

?      Maintain Product Certifications as well as create new ones.

?      Responsible for working with the Quality Departments effort to be ISO9001 certified and to ensure that the certification is maintained.

?      Responsible for all products and engineering, testing and approvals required for both products.

?      Manage product design drawings through the process of reviewing and evaluating any necessary changes.

?      Work directly with the Manufacturing department to provide new products that are cost efficient and simpler to manufacture.

?      Timely prepare and provide reports to management on a monthly basis.

?      Responsible for developing budgets and producing ROI?s for product and process improvements.

?      Ensure that the products are in compliance with code. 

?      Keep abreast of new developments, materials or processes for use in adaptation to the organization?s products.

?      Direct efforts to patent and maintain patents of our intellectual properties.

?      Responsible for tracking cost savings from engineering efforts.

?      Direct all immediate subordinates in performance of their assigned functions so that the plans and programs are carried out in accordance with the organization?s policies.  

?      Responsible for the development of educational materials for the use of training our sales force.

?      Cooperate with the other departments in preparing production and process design methods and quality standards.

?      Coordinate the activities of the Engineering function and encourage the interchange of information, ideas and techniques.

Qualifications: 

?   

?      Must possess knowledge of Manufacturing and Fabrication of Aluminum.

?      Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines, prioritize multiple projects, solve problems quickly and adapt to changing conditions.

?      Be detail-oriented, highly organized, have excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.

Education and Experience:

?      Bachelors Degree in Mechanical or Structural Engineeringrequired.

?      Professional Engineering License required.

?      Florida and Texas Engineering Licenses are a plus.

?      5+ years experience in Manufacturing/Fabrication of aluminum

?      3+ years experience in Project Engineering

Computer skills:

?      Proficient with applicable software such as Microsoft Office, AutoCad, MathCad and AutoDesk Inventor.

$110K - $130K
$110K - $130K base, benefits, 401k bonus
