Skyworks is seeking an experienced Design Manager to lead a SOI product development team which is responsible for SOI switch and LNA designs for Wi-Fi and Cellular/mobile applications. Responsibility includes designing and leading the team in designing SOI products and SOI ICs to support Front-end Module developments, leading the team in design verification, and leading the SOI product developments from concept to production. The Design Manager will collaborate with other product development functions (Program management, Product engineering/Test engineering, Applications, Sales and Marketing) to develop products in a fast-pace environment.

Job Requirement

The role requires strong design and supervisory experience and background in SOI IC design for low and high-power sub-components including RF switches, LNA, couplers, IC-level passive components, control interfaces, and integration of them into RF Front-end modules for wireless and handset applications. Product development experience and understanding of product development flow required. Knowledge in cellular/Wifi system and packaging for RF products is a plus.

Qualifications

• MSEE or PhD with 8+ years of SOI IC design and SOI RF product design and development experience
• Supervisory experience on RFIC or SOI product design is desired
• Strong experience in RFIC design on LNA, RF Switches, RF couplers. RF passive components, and their integration in Si or SOI process
• Experience on SOI IC design and simulation tools such as Cadence, ADS, and EM simulations tools (HFSS, Sonnet, Momentum, EMX, Ansys)
• Good understanding of SOI process for RF LNA and RF switch designs as well as passive designs
• Knowledge of design architecture for RF switch and LNA, RF filter and matching
• Knowledge in WLAN, and mobile communication system and standards
• Knowledge of RF test parameters and test equipment; oscilloscope, VNA, spectrum analyzer, RF sources, hands-on experience in RF testing
• Knowledge of device or product characterization
• Background in package designing and simulation for RF product
• Must possess good communication and presentation skills and the desire to be part of a dynamic team
