The Role

As an Engineering Lead at one of the fastest growing apps in 2019, you will collaborate with product, design, and engineering to build new features used every day by our sizable customer base of paid and free users ranging from top brands to individuals. Our engineering team works on challenging product and data-focused problems daily. Our systems are built to process and provide analytics for over 8 billion clicks per month for people and businesses all over the world. What You'll Do

  • Collaborate with talented engineers, designers, and product managers to build, ship, and improve our core products
  • Planning, high-level estimation, and requirement analysis working with a product manager, engineers, and designers
  • Mentor and grow a team of cross-functional engineers including hiring and performance reviews
  • Review code and provide technical mentorship to engineers
  • Assessing the technical risk and assist in the creation of specifications
  • Coordinating with the team to give technical leadership and achieve sprint goals
  • Providing coding help at all levels and all points of development cycle, as well as providing technical guidance to team members
  • Maintaining and auditing code quality as per set guidelines and standards
  • Deliver modern, testable, and maintainable application code
  • Participate in a culture that values structured code reviews as well as deploying frequently

Who You Are

  • You have 5+ years of professional experience
  • You have 1+ years of team leadership experience
  • You have a full-stack experience in building highly scalable web applications
  • You have 3+ years of recent experience with front-end development using JavaScript and ideally React or back-end development using Go or Python
  • You like speaking in public about what you're working on
  • You have a genuine passion for and are experienced at mentoring others
  • You have a solid understanding of issue management systems, project management skills and version control
  • You have a thorough understanding of security concerns
  • You have strong communication skills, a positive attitude, empathy, and value collaboration
  • You embrace, foster and grow an inclusive culture
  • You have a solid record of writing readable, testable, and efficient code
  • You care about standards and implementing best practices as well as continuing learning, experimenting, evaluating, and introducing other team members to new frameworks, technology, and workflows
  • You are able to shepherd engineers of all levels from on-boarding through self sufficiency
