Responsibilities
The Role:
The Engineering First Level Manager is responsible for leading a stress team working on a pressurized composite fuselage. This role manages experienced professionals, (e.g. engineers, scientists), who exercise latitude and independence in their assignments. Assignments are defined in terms of activities and objectives. Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives.
Key Accountabilities:
- Often heads one or more sections or a small department. Interprets and administers policies, processes and procedures that may affect sections and subordinate work units
- Interacts with internal personnel and outside representatives at various level
- Participates and presents at meetings with internal and external representatives
- Frequent interactions with the customer
- Group responsibilities include, loads, detailed finite element analysis, air vehicle certification support, weights, and other specialty engineering functions
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering or other related course of study from an ABET accredited University
- At least 10 years’ Engineering experience

- Composite analysis experience
- Excellent interpersonal skills working cross functionally across teams
- Analytical, demonstrated ability to deconstruct requirements and prioritize accordingly
- Strong leadership ability
- Keen eye for details
- A focus on continuous process improvement
- Exceptional time management skills
