Engineering Data Scientist, Mid

The Challenge:

Collecting, analyzing, and communicating information isn’t new. Data science has been around for a long time, but not many people know exactly how to use it. You, however, know how to find and analyze all of the important data in an organization. You are able to draw conclusions and communicate them to the right people, in a way that will make their next steps clear. We’re looking for you, a data scientist who knows how to step back and understand the complete picture of an organization’s data and help them to use it effectively.

On our team, you’ll have the opportunity to support the development of new aviation systems and capabilities by working with the military to design the test protocol and test and evaluation models for future warfighting capabilities. You help design experiments, determine what data is needed and where to get it, evaluate models and plan test events by examining current and planned data stores, processes, and formats, to make recommendations on how to better collect, integrate, and use incoming data. As the data science expert, leadership will look to your guidance to help them answer their questions, as well as provide them with conclusions they didn’t know could be derived from their data. You will communicate changes that are needed, such as changes in predictive modeling techniques, additional data sensors, etc, based on the evaluation of current models, past test events, and testing of legacy systems. Join our team and help improve national security by showing the military how powerful their data can be.
