Tectron Tube – a part of Atkore International – currently has an opening for Engineering and Maintenance Manager at our De Pere, Wisconsin plant. De Pere is located 10 miles outside of Green Bay, Wisconsin. The Engineering and Maintenance Manager will have broad responsibility for the overall operations of Engineering and Maintenance, including operating within the Atkore Business Systems (ABS) which strives to ensure a safe work environment, maximize profitable growth, drive quality improvements, provide world class customer service, and develop a qualified work force.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be a leader on site by being present in the plant's safety, quality, delivery and cost
  • Manage and oversee various projects as well a Project Leader on multiple projects.
  • Manage maintenance department personnel and associated workload.
  • Provide documentation and schedules for improvement projects.
  • Planning and evaluating integration of new or upgraded equipment.
  • Assist Manufacturing in various improvement projects, such as Lean Manufacturing, Process Improvements, and Problem Solving.
  • Provide plant level ownership of capital expenditure process, including planning, budgeting, and writing.
  • Lead rebuild/re-design of machinery and processes to improve Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.
  • Member and driver of daily Gemba walks
  • Participate and/or Lead in Continuous Improvement Activities.
  • Develop, coach and mentor team of engineers to ensure the highest level of performance and standards of excellence
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent of 7 to 10 years of management experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment

- 5 to 7 years of major professional accomplishments, including increasing responsibility and leadership of projects and teams of considerable size, scope, and complexity

- Maintenance or mechanical background required

- Strong lean manufacturing/distribution background and the passion to grow your lean experience

- Previous P&L ownership experience preferred but not required

- Sufficient experience and background in manufacturing, inventory control and strategic planning

- Demonstrated teamwork and team building skills that have resulted in strategic and tactical goal attainment

-Strong computer skills, including Microsoft applications
