The Systems Engineer will participate in engineering activities to ensure successful product development, timely execution of programs, and total customer satisfaction. As a Systems Engineer, you will work multiple engineering disciplines and product development teams ensuring the logical creation and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions with a focus on future technology and integrated systems. Areas include electro-hydraulic control systems, hybrid and electric vehicles, autonomous vehicle systems, advanced suspension systems, connected vehicle systems, material handling systems and other auxiliary systems and technology for on-road and off-road vehicle applications. You will establish system architecture, perform system trades and analysis, flow down the architecture concept of operations (CONOPS) into requirements and interfaces, and support verification and validation planning and execution.
Draft, review, and release requirements specification documents, including defining the requirements and verification baseline.
Support requirements, design, and verification team projects and coordinate regularly with key partners to maintain program objectives.
Lead the creation of user need requirements and decomposition of those requirements to system and subsystem requirements.
Collaborate cross functional with multiple disciplines to identify new, obsolete or adjusted regulatory standards (e.g. FDA or IEC).
Review and approve system and subsystem requirement documents to ensure user needs are properly decomposed and intent of the user needs is met.
Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of product requirements into total systems solutions.
Establish system architecture and CONOPS, perform system trades and analysis, flow down the architecture and CONOPS into requirements and interfaces, and support verification planning.
Use communication skills to work across the organization and customer/user community to ensure consensus and understanding of requirements and solutions.
