Cornerstone has an immediate opening in the Rochester, New York office for a Project Manager with a civil or environmental engineering background. Responsibilities of this position will include; interpretation of federal, state and local agency regulations, analysis, preparing, oversight and review of project work products, including site specific technical data, calculations, technical reports, construction plans, cost estimates and environmental permit applications and permit terms and conditions. The position will also involve client relations, new client business development activities including proposals, as well as, communication with regulatory agency staff.
-Proven track record serving as project manager on technical projects (investigations, analysis and design) in specific areas of expertise.
-Bachelor's Degree or above in Engineering or related environmental field.
-Professional Engineering license preferred
-Experience – 6 to 10 years minimum in a related field:
RNG system design
Regulatory experience required; general northeastern states experience a plus.
Established client relationships are a plus.
Ability to promote company sales effort through proposals, written reports, oral presentations and client interactions.
Ability to anticipate human reactions to differing situations and the ability to establish and maintain professional and friendly relations and mutual confidence with people at all levels.
Ability to supervise technical and support staff in an office and to provide leadership and mentoring to entry-level and developing professional personnel.
Excellent communications skills, both written and oral.
Proficiency with computer usage for document preparation including WORD and Excel.
Working knowledge of computer-aided design software; Civil 3D preferred.
