As an Engineer in the Engine Development team of LPSD Engine System & Controls Development, you will serve as an experienced individual contributor on complex projects and assignments for the end-to-end design and development of C175 Machine, Commercial, and Marine diesel engines to achieve emissions and performance goals.
? This will involve utilizing thermodynamic cycle simulation and otherengineering analysis tools to effectively and efficiently communicate results to team members to make program decisions.
? You will also ensure all applicable emissions requirements are met for new programs and continue to be met for existing products, and act in concert with the regulations team to submit all necessary certification documentation for both new product development and product change management.
? You will also perform engine calibration and map development, data analysis, results review and documentation, project management planning and updates.
? The incumbent should have a working knowledge of the testing facility, instrumentation, and equipment capabilities to be able to collaborate with the cell operations to execute engine test procedures.
? Research and develop new technology

? Develop engine performance ratings that meet emissions and critical customer performance targets

? Communicate technical information, support, and advise team members and other engineers, managers, marketing personnel, dealers, customers, and suppliers
? Perform work in accordance to ISO17025 processes
?Bachelor''s degree in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science curriculum
?3 + years?experience with engine development/validation or simulation or design
? Proficiency with engine rating calibration development
? Expertise with GT-Power/973/Destiny 1-D Engine Simulation
? Excellent analytical skills
? Ability to perform complex assignments
? Self-starter with strong technical leadership skills
? Ability to communicate technical information effectively with team members and others in work group, as well as employees in other units, customers, and suppliers
