Full Job Description

A DAY IN THE LIFE

As an Engineer II 6 Electrical Engineer, you will support the design, coordination, and execution of utility-scale renewable energy projects from concept through completion. A typical day involves reviewing electrical designs, drawings, specifications, and technical studies to ensure compliance with client requirements, industry standards, and project objectives. You'll collaborate closely with engineering, construction, and project teams, performing equipment and material takeoffs, supporting design reviews, and helping resolve technical challenges throughout the project lifecycle. You'll also travel to project sites to verify construction activities aligning with project drawings and specifications, participate in design reviews, and ensure accurate documentation of field changes. Projects may include battery energy storage systems (BESS), underground collection systems, substations, SCADA and communication systems, transmission lines, and solar PV facilities. This role offers the opportunity to expand your technical expertise while supporting project success and mentoring less experienced team members.

STEP INTO THE ROLE

  • Responsible for establishing safe engineering designs that compliment company, state, and federal safety regulations. Assures projects are designed in compliance with all applicable safety standards including NESC, NEC, NPFA, OSHA, and others.
  • Perpetuates designs that satisfy the design life of the power plant by establishing compliance with local and state codes and company best practices. Ensures takeoffs are complete and accurate for cost estimates and material procurement.
  • Responsible for managing designs that provide the most economical means to satisfy the design life of the power plant. Collaborates across company departments, with outside vendors, suppliers, and technical firms to explore innovative ideas, methods, materials, software, and technologies that save costs, increase efficiencies, promote safety, and provide strategic benefits.
  • Must be a team-oriented professional that adheres to the company 27s cultural basics and the National Society of Professional Engineer 27s code of conduct. The Engineer I must have a strong work ethic and be able to communicate in a clear and concise manner with multiple levels of technical and non-technical personnel.

WHAT YOU 27LL NEED

  • Bachelor 27s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, or related field from an ABET accredited college required.
  • Two years of progressive engineering and/or engineering supervisory experience in a related industry (i.e. heavy civil, industrial, utilities, power generation) are required.

$83,109.00 - $120,508.00 Individual Compensation to be determined based on the applicant's applicable experience and qualifications balanced against internal equity.
