Honeywell is hiring for an Energy Verification Engineer in our Springfield, MD location.  We are specifically looking for candidates with controls / controls programming / measuring / verification background.  I am including the job description below for your reference.  If you feel that you qualify or that this could be a potential fit, please forward your resume to me -

Energy Verification Engineer

• Development & implementation of Measurement & Verification (M&V) plans for ESPC projects.
• Help estimate M&V cost at different levels of performance contracts.
• Coordinate M&V activities with Energy Analyst (EA), M&V Risk Specialist, Solution Development Engineer (SDE), Project Construction Manager (PM), design and commissioning engineers during proposal, energy audit, design, construction and commissioning periods.
• Interface with SDE for review of design intent and savings calculations.
• Conduct on-site spot measurements and short term data collection during construction and post-retrofit periods as required.
• Building or campus energy systems baseline development and baseline adjustments.
• Determine shortfall, contract payouts, and forecast payouts. Notify Local Service/Sales teams of potential savings shortfall, coordinate form of guarantee short

Basic Qualifications:
• Associate Degree
• 2 years’ experience in controls systems in remote accessing the EMCS for setting data trends, date collection and verification.
• 2 years’ experience with Excel, Visual Basic, VB Script programming and Microsoft SQL
• 1 years knowledge of M&V protocols and guidelines (like FEMP and IPMVP).
• 3 years’ experience in HVAC-related fields
• Must be a United States Citizen to gain access to the Customer site
• Valid driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
• Experience in energy savings calculations for performance contracting
• Ability to work collaboratively in a matrixed team environment with a win-win orientation
• Use of a computer to communicate with Energy Management System to a) observe system operation, b) acknowledge alarms and c) determine problems.
• Demonstrable experience as Excel power user, specifically interpreting M&V report requirements into complex macro-enabled graphs & tabular output.
