Would you like to join Fortune 7 CVS Health as a part of our dynamic legal team? As an Employment Law Senior Attorney, you will provide strategic legal advice to internal business partners and leadership.
You will join a collaborative team of nine other employment lawyers within a large legal department, reporting to the Senior Legal Counsel of Employment Law.
You will work on projects with Human Resources (HR), Business Leaders, and Compliance to design innovative programs that follow all laws concerning the employer-employee relationship along with addressing new laws of judicial decisions. You will help set strategy and oversee outside counsel on administrative charges and single plaintiff lawsuits.
You will deliver advice and support on employment law situations to internal CVS Health business and HR partners.
This position will be located in Woonsocket, RI.
Additional Duties & Responsibilities:
• You will draft and negotiate employment-related agreements and policies.
• You will offer counsel on employment law matters arising in corporate transactions.
• You have a minimum of 8 years’ experience in a law firm or in-house position with a focus on employment law.
• You are admitted to a state bar and currently in good standing.
• You can travel up to 10% of the time as needed, per business needs.
• You have health care or retail organization experience.
• You have transactional experience.
• You have strong litigation management experience.
• You can effectively communicate by phone, in writing and in person.
• Juris Doctorate from a law school accredited by the American Bar Association is required.
